It is with great enthusiasm that I welcome you to the Department of Computer Science at Isra University, Hyderabad. Our department stands as a hub of innovation and technological advancement within the Faculty of Engineering, Science & Technology (FES&T), dedicated to equipping students with the skills and knowledge to lead in the digital era.

We offer a comprehensive portfolio of three undergraduate degree programs: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BS CS), Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering (BS SE), and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BS IT). To cater to the evolving landscape of technology, our BS (CS) program is further enriched with specialized tracks in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cyber Security. All our programs are recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), and we are actively pursuing accreditation from the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), underscoring our commitment to national educational standards and quality.

Academic Education

To prepare graduates as computing professionals.

Knowledge for Solving Computing Problems:

Apply knowledge of computing fundamentals, knowledge of a computing specialization, and mathematics, science, and domain knowledge appropriate for the computing specialization to the abstractions and conceptualization of computing models from defined problems and requirements.

Problem Analysis:

Identify, formulate, research literature, and solve complex computing problems reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles of mathematics, computing sciences, and relevant domain disciplines.

Design / Development of Solutions:

Design and evaluate solutions for complex computing problems, and design and evaluate systems, components, or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Modern Tool Usage:

Create, select, adapt and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern computing tools to complex computing activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

Individual and Teamwork:

Function effectively as an individual and as a member or leader in diverse teams and in multi-disciplinary settings.

Communication:

Communicate effectively with the computing community and with society at large about complex computing activities by being able to comprehend and write effective reports, design documentation, make effective presentations, and give and understand clear instructions.

Understand and assess societal, health, safety, legal, and cultural issues within local and global contexts, and the consequential responsibilities relevant to professional computing practice.

InnoVenture 2025 is an exciting event organized by the Department of Computer Science, Isra University Hyderabad, where students will showcase their Subject Projects and Final Year Projects. The event aims to inspire creativity, innovation, and idea generation among young minds. It will take place on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at the Sports Ground (Block-A) with attractive prizes for winners, runner-ups, and certificates for all participants.
